Not sure if this is posted elsewhere or if it was nerfed with latest patch but I found it useful on more than one occasion. In the event you are say searching to see if a named MOB is up and have a good idea of general area that they spawn but lack track try "/ponder *MOB’s name here*. Make sure nothing is targeted when you do this. If the MOB is up and is somewhat around it will result in emote saying you are pondering the monster. If it isn’t up it will just result in saying you ponder. You still have to figure out if monster is up where it is but at least reduces time searching wondering if its up. Easy Collection Xp (Everquest 2 Cree server)
This is a good way to get your low lvl characters some one time good xp and im sure there are other similar ways too. To do this easy xp u must purchase 3 items for the collection quest, Sand Giant Toes, now i cant remember name of each toe, but sand giant toes should bring em up. Then buy the items for the Harpy Feather Collection quest, theres 3 of them too each with different color. These things drop like coconuts in expansion level, but there are lvl 50 collection, so turning them in gives low lvl characters good XP. But only once. Sorry i dont know names off the top of my head, but those names i mentioned should bring up something with broker. Ive done it with a few toons and each time the broker sold them very cheap. If all else fails buy Eq2 Gold from The MMORPG Exchange! MMORPG-Exchange has supplied me for years and has great customer service and 24/7 instant delivery. Check them out! Eq2 Gold.

Get Craft Lvl Fast Scheme (lvl 10+ Alchemist) (EQ2 Face)
A little thing i discovered as i was surfing the market(Broker).
Try searching the broker at lvl 10 for soapweed and buy it in bulk, It sells for about 2cp+.. Then purchase your common (aerated mineral water) and Candles and craft away the night either at the keyboard manually or macro… whatever you prefer..
have yet to macro overnight making soapweed emulsion at lvl 10.. Just thought i would throw that out there for everyone who might be in need of a easier grind to lvl crafting..
Try it with other gathered parts look them up through the broker and buy them in bulk and just repeat the process.
Hope this helps someone

Best Exp For 40+ In Everfrost (Everquest 2 Sony)
Some of you may already know this, but I have found that there are still a lot of people that don’t.
The best exp that I have come across is in Everfrost in a group of 2-3 members. Ideal group of 2 is a healer and a high dps tank (berserker or bruiser). Ideal group of 3 is a healer, tank, and dps. In the low 40s, you can kill a variety of group mobs just past the wolves. In the mid 40s you can kill the snow leopards and numbfoots. In the upper 40s you can kill terrors and tempests. I got anywhere from 1-1.5% exp/kill with minimal/no downtime (with vitality bonus). This is about 3 times more exp that you would get with a full group. Only difference is that a full group could kill things faster.
The key is to keep the group size below 4 (an extra exp bonus is given for groups of 2-3).
Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.

General Alchemy Guide (Everquest 2 Cree server)
In general, I believe EQ2 has a pretty nice crafting system compared to UO, EQ, and SWG of years past. I thought I would summarize a few of the things that I’ve learned in my first 25 levels of crafting and alchemy.
First, don’t try this without a TON of space. In fact, I highly recommend you create another "mule" character and equip with lots of 14 slot bags, rent an apartment, and buy a couple of teak strongboxes for selling all of your trivial crafting stuff. Next, make your way over to your tier 1 zone and get ALL harvesting skills to 20+ so you can start in Antonica/Commonlands.
I would recommend you research and prepare to make inks in bulk. I made 100+ iron gual and carbon inks and although my fingers are sore from clicking, those inks sell for around 1gp each. This requires secondary skill in both harvesting and mining, so you should focus on raw minerals from mining and tuber roots. These items will produce the washes, oils, and reagents for the final combines.
Take the time to acquaint yourself with the new crafting system and the buffs. Each "buff" lasts 4 seconds to cover the length of each tick of the game. There are three such buffs and each one not only "buffs" the next tick and boosts your skill, but also corrects errors that pop up from time-to-time while you’re crafting. You have 2 seconds to clear the error with the appropriate "buff" and if you don’t you’ll suffer in your combine and be caused physical damage in the game. I put the "buffs" on their own menu bar and move near the crafting window so I can see with my peripheral vision when those errors pop up.
Make sure you use the durability buffs if you have any, as the others sacrifice quality for speed, and also, check to see which buff of the three costs power to use. You’ll want to avoid overusing that key, as you’ll eventually run out of power if you’re not careful. Usually drinking water works fine if you’re concerned.
What I do is wait until I see positive or negative numbers pop up above the chemistry table (which signifies the beginning of the tick) and very quickly hit a buff before an error has a chance to pop up. If you wait too long after the tick, you may hit the key precisely when an error pops up causing you to use the wrong correction measure and injuring your combine. If you get the timing right, you’ll never botch an error correction and buff nearly every tick of the combine.
Watch for a special, rare buff to pop up in the error window. Alchemists Insight. It lasts 7 minutes and improves your crafting durability by 10% if you successfully use the proper buff to activate it. Good luck…

Acquire A Starter Necklace (EQ2 UI)
When you first arrive on the beach on the Island of Refuge, you’ll notice some crabs on the beaches. While it may be tempting to bypass these fellow and head straight for town……don’t!
Hack up enough crabs until a treasure box pops out of one. Open the treasure box and you’ll retrieve a sand shard. Open your inventory, and examine the shard. A "general" quest will be revealed which you can follow to completion to create a free magical necklace!
This quest is only revealed to you by killing a certain amount of crabs, otherwise it is unavailable through NPC chat. This is a very quick quest to complete, and results in free magical armor!

Easy Leveling For Outfitters (EQ2 Screenshots)
I just realized a great little trick to level and make a little coin for outfitters. once you get lvl 10 get the book and scribe it to get iron bars. i used the ultimate macro on this site and made 100 bars. after that i had made lvl 11 and got some more recipe’s. i switch up from making iron rings and sheets with the crafted bars. in 2 nights of macroing i made it from 10 to almost 16. and made some nice coin.
you can do this with however many i prefer doing it 100 at a time
to do this buy 20 iron for under 10cp. comes out to 2sp. to make sure you have enough materials to craft the bars fully you will need 1 coal to make the bar and 1 coal to make the irons sheet, crossgard, etc. it is the same for the eiolth temper. 1 for bar and 1 for final. so buy 2 stacks of coal and 2 stacks of eiolth temper from merch in tradeskill instance. this comes out to 12sp.
coal = 6cp
eiolth tempre = 24cp
Iron = 5-10cp
so 6×20= 1sp20cp, 24×20= 4sp 80cp totrals to 6sp per stack timers 2 for final =12
this will net you 20sp a profit of 8 sp while making some serious exp. like i said i have made 1gp and 4 levels in 2 nights. not bad while i am sleeping. ok well hope this helps

Easy Money Right Off Ior (EQ2 Trade)
While I was on IoR I noticed my ever increasing ammounts of roots and elms i was getting raising my gatherings skills. I thought i’d just sell this once I got to free port but then i found the guide that tells you that a really effective money maker is to craft Chloro Resin, because its ingredients were so cheap, and the pristin kind sells for 8 cp a piece. Very recently I have heard that this has been fixed as far as people with no ingredients to start with, but I had some, I had about 5 stacks of roots/elms from IoR. First here is how you get that many.
http://www.multiplayerstrategies.com/ms/index.cfm?page=topic&topicID=28204&categoryid=22
I did this A LOT.
So right when you get off IoR with all your goodies crafting these and selling the finished goods is a VERY good way to make money right off the get-go. Here is why.
Ingredients for Chloro Resin
Aerated Water : 6 cp
Candle : 6 cp
The last ingredient is the one we got so many of off the IoR using the neat trick in the above post, wood.
At my level off IoR, 5, I could usually do pristine and make a 4 stack pristine choro resin that sells for 24 cp. So heres the math.
24 cp – 12 cp (costs for the ingredients you have to buy) = a 12 cp profit PER craft. So with 5 stacks of 20 elms/roots, thats 100 crafts I did. Thats 1200 or 12 sp cash right off the IoR. It isnt a ton of money. but it helped me out a lot not only financially, but it gained me about 2 artisan levels as well.
So right off IoR, go to your local crafting guild and join and do this macroed for a few hours, to make your life even easier a fantabulous member of MPS made one of the best crafting macroes i’ve ever seen, you can find it here.

Easy Money Maker!! Never Move!! Harvesting!! (EQ2 Account)
NERFED——–NO LONGER WORKS
NERFED!!!! SINCE SOME PEOPLE DO NOT READ ENTIRE POST, I THOUGHT I WOULD EDIT THE ORIGINAL!
I tried to make the title vague so as not to give it away. This is not my find. It was emailed to me by another MPS’er who is on their way out of town. If they want I will post the KUDOs to them when they return. I made over 1 gold last night in about an hour.
Requirements:
Level: does not matter
Membership: Must join one of the local "crafting" areas(cellar door things)
Just inside the crafting zone you will see a named NPC with NO title. This NPC will give you an Artisan quest to go get a specific thing. IE: electrum clusters, iron, pelts, tubers, rough turquoise etc….
Hail the NPC and get the quest.
TURN AROUND and click the BROKER behind you. Open up the BUY window and do a search for the name of the quest element you are looking for. Enter the name then hit find items. The default is highest priced first(on mine). I go to the last page for the cheapest items. Your reward for the quest is 12 silver so anything below 80 copper per unit will net you a profit. Click buy from broker or you can note the name and travel to the merchants house and save a few copper. I did all mine by just leaving the windows open and clicking away.
Leave your J(ournal) window open as it will update faster than the quest helper window. IF the number quits going up then move up one on the item list as you have depleted that particular merchant. Once you have the required 15 items then hail the named NPC again and receive your reward. Rinse and repeat!!!
DRAWBACKS!!!
I made a bundle but I had bought all the cheap items and started getting quests for items that would cost me 3 or 4 silver more than the reward. I did them anyway hoping to make it up in the long run. I did make money in the end but supplies were getting more expensive.
Remember, the items you are buying are coming from other players who have set themselves up as merchants. I imagine you would have a greater selection during the busiest game times when more people are online.
The QUEST itself: I cannot figure out how to delete thes "tradeskill" quests so I can get a different item. Some items were really cheap(iron, 6c each..BIG Profit) but average animal pelts where over 1Silver each…-3 loss!! I took the loss on some hoping for the makeup on the other cheap stuff. I know how to delete other quests but these will not go away.
What have I tried delete unwabted tradeskill quests:
1. Ask for a new one, denied!
2. Leave zone and come back, denied!
3. Resign from crafting hall then rejoin, denied!
4. Resign then go to another town and join, denied!
SO as of now I am over a gold richer but stuck with getting my on pelts(seem to be the most expensive btw) or sucking up the 5silver loss in hopes of a good one next.
If we can figure out how to delete the quest or get a better one then we are GOLDEN, or should I say PLATINUM!!
As people start to do this the supplies are gonna go fast and the merchants will be making a killing!
I see this as taking advantage of a good business oppurtunity!!
