High elves are not what you drug users out there may be thinking, they are not highly intoxicated happy grass smokers blindly firing misguided arrows into the night while stuffing their faces with massive amounts of snack food. That’s unfortunate, because that would have made one hell of a race for an MMOG.
Instead, high elves are apparently the extremely arrogant nobility of the lands of EQ2. That being said, they still have to work their tail off like everyone else in the game slaughtering all kinds of wildlife and completing the same quests as everyone else, so this small piece of lore is quite useless unless you’re a dreaded role player!
Like the other Elven races, the High Elves are extremely agile and adept at stealth missions, making them perfect as scouts. They are also not deft of mind, and therefore make serviceable mages or priests.
While some would argue extreme arrogance and nobility are in fact an evil trait, in the realm of EQ2 High Elves may only be aligned with the "good". This likely keeps their pockets lined with the taxes from the hard working citizens of the lands, so I smell a conspiracy here. But it is of no consequence, as you will not have a noble bone in your body. You my friend, if you choose the High Elven race will be a black sheep among the arrogant Noble High Elves, flat broke and a refugee.
High Elves have excellent vision in the dark, allowing them to pick off mobs from a great distance with their accurate bows or knives. This allows them to switch their eyesight to a different spectrum, and view movement very easily in any situation.
